At Madison Polymer Additives, Inc., we are committed to conducting business ethically, responsibly, and in compliance with applicable laws and international standards. As a distributor of raw chemical materials for plastics and rubber manufacturing in the United States, we recognize the importance of ensuring that the minerals and chemicals we source are obtained in a manner that respects human rights, avoids contributing to conflict, and supports sustainable development.
We support the responsible sourcing of minerals and are committed to avoiding the procurement of materials that contribute to armed conflict, human rights abuses, or environmental harm. This includes, but is not limited to, the sourcing of "conflict minerals" — tin, tungsten, tantalum, and gold (3TG) — from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and adjoining countries, as defined under Section 1502 of the U.S. Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
Although our primary focus is on raw chemicals rather than 3TG minerals, we extend this commitment to all materials sourced in our supply chain. We strive to partner with suppliers who share our values and demonstrate ethical, legal, and socially responsible practices.
Madison Polymer Additives conducts a reasonable country of origin inquiry (RCOI) as applicable and performs due diligence based on the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas. When appropriate, we may request supporting documentation from suppliers to validate the origin of their materials and their compliance with responsible sourcing practices.
We are committed to transparency in our sourcing practices and will review and update this policy periodically to reflect changes in legal requirements, industry best practices, and our business operations. We also encourage feedback from our customers, suppliers, and stakeholders as part of our continuous improvement process.
